Timken Names David Haaksma Manager Of Aerospace Bearing Repair

The Timken Company (NYSE: TKR; www.timken.com) yesterday announced the appointment of David Haaksma to the position of manager, aerospace bearing repair for the company’s Aerospace and Defense Business.

In this role, Haaksma leads the global aerospace bearing repair business in driving growth, enhancing customer relationships and increasing the scope of the business.

Haaksma joins Timken with more than 22 years in the bearing business, the last 15 years in aerospace. His experience includes managing customer service, sales, engineering and business development teams. Most recently, Haaksma held the position of director of aerospace engine and gearbox segments with SKF.

Haaksma earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Central Michigan University. A Michigan native, he and his family will relocate to California from Jamestown, N.Y.

The Timken Company has been repairing aerospace bearings for more than 55 years. The Los Alamitos, Calif., facility serves as a center of expertise for bearing inspection and repair. The facility offers repairs on more than 5,000 part numbers spanning 80 engine platforms. The company’s global aerospace organization includes bearing repair operations in Wolverhampton, United Kingdom, and bearing inspection in Chengdu, China.
